What is your current minimum daily run?
1-mile.
Hey, you said Minimum.
1.2 miles (2KM if you're metric) as it's down to a stop sign and back.
It used to be this 2.7-mile loop when I was younger.
Now that I think of it, it's high time to get back to NOT missing a day and if it's a mile a day like others posting here so be it.
A daily mile is better than nothing.
Frank Shorter does 45-minutes or an hour but apparently doesn't run every day anymore.
An LA newspaper ran an on line article in which Shorter reported he is now doing a lot more in the way of strength training.
4 mi
Ill do 4 miles in the morning on most days that i double. i dont believe that doing any less than that has any benefit when you're doing 70 mpw
As part of a double: 4 miles
Stand-alone in a normal week: 6.5 miles
Stand-alone before a race: 3 miles
If I run when un-injured, it will be three miles minimum.
I believe in days off.
5 miles when I am doing a hill workout.
5 to 6 miles on Monday recovery day unless you count the zero I run on my off day.
depends on how long I'll have. I'll go out and run for 30 mins, or about 4-5 miles (more if I tempo) if thats all the time I have. But given unlimited time something like 6 and 13 miles except one day a week I run only 5/4 if I'm going to be over 130.
30 min of recovery jogging on saturday. barely moving, probably lucky to cover 3 miles. leaves me fresh & ready to rock for a 16-20 mile hammerfest on Sunday morning!!!
8k, also known to heathen Yanks as about 5 miles.
3 miles.

4 miles. I don't think less than 30 minutes is much of a work-out.
if you're running 4 or less your likely not looking to get a workout (ie anything near goal pace for goal race) in anyway, right? it's likely either a morning shakeout for a workout later in the day, or an evening recovery jog to loosen up after a hard a.m. session. an easy 10-20 min of jogging in the p.m. does wonders for me when i am doing high mileage off long a.m. singles (10-18). feel so much better the next morning than if i skip it, definitely aids recovery.
