I recently found out I have a stress fracture in my femoral shaft; it is mild and I only need to avoid impact for about 6 more weeks, I wanna work on fixing leg imbalances but I can't think of anything more intense than the pedestal exercises. I am certain one legged body weight squats are fine. Any other suggestions; the focus is correcting imbalances.
Any type of strength training will also affect he bone and joint systems. You should talk to your doc before doing some full body weight training.
First of all, stop running and your stupid Mickey Mouse exercises (planks, situps, core stability, lol....). Focus on your big moves, honestly, for leg strength all you need are (overhead) squat and deadlifts. But pack on some real weight, not those pink weights, those look embarrassing, especially on a tiny/SCRAWNY runners frame.

You can't do a plank with a stress fracture in my femoral shaft.
Your sentence doesn't make sense. Bones incur excessive loads during squats and dead lifts compared to a planks. "Excessive"

make the pedestal-type exercises harder by getting a balance disc & do single-leg balancing. work up to 2-3 min of balancing per leg. once that is easy, do things to make it difficult (toss & catch ball off wall, single-leg squats touching the opposite leg both in front and behind you, bring opposite knee to chest in running motion to work hip flexors, closing your eyes, etc etc). be creative & make it burn!
