I have been training just turned age 17, soon to be HS Senior for past years in sprints.
She is ready to move up to 800m and it would be nice to get a trainer/coach involved since this is her last year before college.
Her 100m Pr is 12.90
200m Pr is 26.27
400m Pr is 57.70
Because of her illness this summer she had to completely stop sprinting workouts and competition.
She suffers/ed from severe fatigue, lethargy, weakness, loss of coordination, dizziness, nausea, weight loss/loss of appetite, and serious sensitivity to any temperatures above 80F.
During the last few weeks of HS season she suffered anemia due to low iron.
She still made 4A State championships only to fall flat in both 400m/4x200m during semi-'s.
Symptoms kept getting worse during June, she had multiple blood labs to finally find that she not only was anemic, but also had a serious Mononucleosis infection during the same time as State, and was/is also suffering Thyroid issues and Adrenal Fatigue during the above time frame.
In late June, as I had to 'push' Dr's to do more 'testing', as I had found in early June that she was anemic/low iron, then, she had to drop the sprints because of her symptoms, she told me she wanted to try the 800m.
I told her she had not trained for it and I could not see her doing well, as she had only ran I two times before, once in 6th grade, and once in 8th grade.
She is very stubborn, and told me she could not compete in the sprints, she was weak, had no power/speed and the symptoms after she sprinted wiped her out. She said she still wanted to run track and compete 'for fun' during the summer, but wanted to be competitive, and she felt the 800m was her best possibility.
She was unable to run in any heat at all, and on the average in our area the daytime highs are between 95F & over 100F... anything near or over 80F completely wipes her out.
I completely stopped her workouts in early July.
She did run a couple of 800m in Seattle during the night cool temperatures (low 70's, near 9:00pm) in mid-late July.
Her first 800m, June 25th, finished at 24.55 (lane #3, white top/black shorts:

I realize these are not that fast of times, but considering her medical conditions, and that I had concluded her workouts in early June, this, at least should show a natural talent in the 800m?
We really would like some help incorporating the 800m into her fall GPP and winter SPP, also, it would be huge if an excellent coach could be recommended, as I have been doing my best training/coaching her for the past 5+ years, just doing my best from what I have learned from others, online, and could really use some help.
Please help my daughter, she has been through a lot, you could not believe what she has endured the past 3 years, not only this year, but even worse last year and the previous year.. she is a warrior and deserves the best!
