Hello all, Im a sophomore looking to run around 16:30 by the end of the season(late October) in an attempt to qualify for the state meet. I've been averaging 40-45 mpw for the whole summer and this was my first summer running and ran relatively low mileage so I won't get injured. Most runs are anywhere between 6:45-7:50 depending on how I feel. Tempos are 4 miles starting at 6:15 and ending at 6:00. Our first meet is in 2 weeks and I want to run sub 17:30 or 17:00(?) to start the season? Any ideas? Predictions?
