Okay I really do not get this. The day before yesterday and all the days before it I had no sign of pain or anything in this spot...I didn't think twice. Yesterday morning I go for my usual 5 mile easy run, feet and everything else feels just fine...All throughout the day yesterday between my morning run and my 2nd run my foot felt fine...well, NOW that I went for my 2nd run, as I start up, I begin to feel this pain on about my 2nd metatarsal, close to the toe, like equal in closeness to the ball of the foot. Well the workout is a 10 mile run w/ 6x1 mile reps between it. During the strides I feel it somewhat painful after every pushoff. Well I continue to finish off the workout, and on the 2 mile jog back home, my foot is killing me. I finally get back, ice it about 10 times on and off just going like mad. So now, I ride my bike over to the cafeteria for dinner, and as I'm walking in, I have to limp in because everytime there is pressure put down on it, it hurts quite a bit. So I came back to my room w/ a ton of ice, iced it on and off until having to go to bed 2 hours later, and just got finished sleeping for 9.5 hours and taking some advil before going to sleep. I wake up, and the pain is still there just as bad, and I'm limping around. Obviously I'm taking today off, but what in the world kind of pain just comes up out of NOWHERE literally in just one run, when it's not there for the morning run!?!? Again, no pain in that area at all previous to this happening. What is up with this??
