I'm 18, male, and will be a senior in HS. This is my first summer of actually training for fall XC. I really want to break 17:00 this season and I have been running at least 25 mpw since May 25, the day after state track. Last week of May was 20 mpw. All of June was 25, 30, 30, 25 mpw. Then July was 20, then 40 mpw, and then ran 5 today. I am not really good at XC because my PR is 17:53 and thought "f**k it, it's senior year and should try to be the best I can be." I am better at track, running a :53 400, 2:03 800, and 4:40 1600 so I got speed but not necessarily endurance. Just wanted to hear some of you veteran's input or guesses. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
