Most would find her "stunning", as will her major sponsors, and yes if she is successful on the track, you will see lots of her.

This is the real link:

Stunning?? Talk about speed goggles. She is cute but that is all - hundreds, if not thousands, of prettier girls on any campus on any given day. No wonder track geeks are dateless. You people are pathetic losers, and this thread really underscores that reality.

All in 100K!
She is attractive enough so really 100k = free model for Nike. It is cheaper for Nike to pay her to be on the roster and do a lot of modelling than pay a professional model. This is def part of it
But it is absurd to think that some obscure 2nd placer in a womens event is worth $100k to any brand. Nobody cares. The empty stands at Sacramento are just another confirming signal that nobody gives a rats ass about T&F
If she can get it, better bank it. that is all I can say.
Do those thousands of "prettier girls" run sub 2:00 for 800 meters? This is what she looks like when she "dolls up".

She signed with Ricky Simms, so other companies know that she'll go straight to NIKE.

I would guess that most guys could care less whether their girlfriend can run sub 2 for 800 meters.
And the fact that she has to get "dolled up" in order to not look like a butterface is telling..
See lolo jones. Perceived attractiveness equals more sponsorship dollars. It's all about how she looks on posters and commercials. How she looks dolled up is all that matters when it comes to those things. Nike is not going to do a photo shoot or commercial with her right after she wakes up. The young lady will make 100k on her first deal which will probably be a contract that covers through Olympic year then if her times don't improve they will drop her.

Exactly. She's cute, but certainly not a stunner. Usually there are a few pretty good looking girls on any track team, she is just one of them. It's not like she is an Emma Coburn or anything. Then again, this is the crowd that thinks Hasay is cute so I guess any not good looking girl is a cute girl for some of the LRC crowd, which makes any pretty good looking good a "stunner".
Anyway, 1:59 is great no doubt. But there are currently two US girls several years younger who are 1:58/1:59 and have a lot more potential than she does. If she makes another leap into 1:57 territory (or starts becoming unstoppable at US champs or medaling at WC/OG then you can talk about her being some sort of poster girl for Nike mid-d. Until then she's just one of a half dozen or so top US women in the 800.
Abbey D and Laura R are the two HOTTEST up and coming female runners. Both in terms of looks (them ladies are fine as helllll) and talent.

Really? You aren't helping your case.
Oregon alsways has hot girls on their teams. On the current team, both Sant and Leblanc are gorgeous.
10/10 Here is Marybeth Sant http://www.goducks.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=4365&SPID=243&DB_OEM_ID=500&ATCLID=209342732&Q_SEASON=2013
After many years of reading threads, this one has a training jewel put right in the middle...thank you!
Granted the thread us about Laura and her earning potential, not to mention a few nice comments about her looks, but the fact that how to properly train for a fast 800m is just dropped in is what makes countless hours of "track spam" worth it on occasion...
Heck, it probably deserves it's own thread, but we all know it would become a poor debate amongst trolls, wannabes, some good coaches, and possibly a quality coach or two. What it would not become is a high quality talk like LetsRun used to have in the early 2000's. And definitely not like one would find on TnF media or the old track list serve...
What a shame...but again props to you for taking time to post your training method...maybe a few will try it...(p.s. It will hurt)

But you are buying into the hype about Chanelle Price and Mary Cain, both of whom have also run under two minutes only once? Neither of them has run as fast as Roesler just did, and both ran their PRs in Diamond League invitationals. Roesler did this in a championship after rounds.
Roesler has gotten better every year in college. It's certainly no more or less reasonable to predict continued improvement for her than for Price or Cain or Wilson or Martinez. I think she's a legitimate medal contender in 2015 and 2016 with the potential to run 1:57 or faster, and that's why it's a big deal
I agree. You get a different feeling watching Roesler in the 800. No doubt in the right race she'll be 1:58 low this summer, maybe even high 1:57's. Every year a couple of college girls go 2:01,sign a little shoe deal, might run 2 flat then struggle after a couple of years, maybe get married and then are out of the sport. Roesler is a step above.
1) Both Cain and Wilson have had many more opportunities to race a fast 800 than Roesler. She has been a team workhorse for the Ducks, and her first final against solid comp (after a long season) resulted in 2nd almost running 1:58 in the wind. She may wrap it up, or may return to the pro circuit to challenge sub-1:58 (and Groenendaal's school/collegiate best)
2) She has the best wheels of any U.S. 800 runner other than the AR holder, J-M Clark. I think Ajee will break the AR in the next few years, but Laura has the best chance for 1:55, long-term, with the right coaching. Her composure under fire is right up there with Ajee, and then she has that 400 speed....

Come on now, Abby makes Jordan look good. Our subject is hotter than any of her peers we're talking about here,
BUT. Does that guarantee Nike? Or does the agency she's with? Do they not have any adidas, Saucony, etc. In their stable? I'm not familiar with the different agents like some of you are.
As far as talent, I agree with those of you consider her to be on the short list for the next few years. IF. We're talking about US. Ajee will top the list, I think aven with Montano in the mix. Martinez is really 800/1500 type, isn't she? Could end up on the team on either. Ditto Cain, 1500 much more likely there. Alexa will be 3-5k type IMO.
Really just a few. Could she be 3rd behind Wilson and one other, maybe Montano for Rio squad? Yeah, but not making the team at all is unlikely barring injury. She'll be top 3 US for the foreseeable future. She and the gal ahead. Of her last weekend are the only true 800 specialists in their age group in the country at that level.
Agreed. And Vessey is not even mentioned in the mix, nor Gall. All 1:58 capable.

Not sure about that. I know Vessey ran 1:57 a few years back but all she cares about now is her racing outfit, which have gone from bad to worse by the way. Gall is not race fit and hasn't done anything this year.
