I don't think the primary cause is veganism, but more the types of individuals that are interested eating vegan. everybody knows conservatives have the most boring sex lives and love red meat, 1 time per month missionary!
Might also lead to man boobs what with all the soy estrogen mimics.
You have to eat like, a bucket of soy products every day for that to happen, and even then, there's only a couple of cases that demonstrate it
Bu weah do ya getch yo brodeen frum?
ED can be from a bewilderingly wide variety of causes. Low heme iron, also, and I know you can see why I mentioned that one.
The overarching assumption is veganism is better for your CV system (also, that CV heath is always a determinant of ED, but we'll set that aside for the moment). So, better than what? Than standard American meat and sweet diet? Well, yeah. So's a diet of bubble wrap and rock salt. Than a diet comprised seasonal fruits and vegetables, nuts, olive oil and sensible portions of eggs and milk and daily exercise? Maybe not. I'd say no.
Exercise is the largest single determinant of CV health. A vegan gobbling mango and tofu but never leaving the couch is gonna be in bad shape.
No hate for you, but vegans drawing long bows on their wonder diet pi$$es me off. Stop preaching FFS.

You're the one preaching, dude.
I watched the video.
They claim that cardiovascular disease is associated with erectile dysfunction, but they never explain or show how a vegan diet prevents cardiovascular disease.
Most the vegans I know eat like crap & eat lots of carbs & other junk to fill their belly because they're missing out on fats from meats like fish, steak, & chicken etc. More & more research is coming out that saturated fat is OK in moderation.

Yeah but if you go vegan, then you probably hang with vegan chicks and most of them are hairy-pitted, flat chested ugglings. I'd go queer first.

There is no such standard. The standard American diet is grain and plenty of it. Even the ones who eat "a lot" of meat mostly drown it in grains and vegetable oils. Only the few who know what they're doing (and are wealthy enough) can get a lot of calories from quality meat. For the rest it's partially-hydrogenated, soybean-filled supermarket garbage.
Vegans can't paper over the fact that grain is grass. The eating of grass started only a few thousand years ago, and has generally occurred in places where the population is high enough that it can't be sustained without it. In most of the modern world, the population is so high that people have to eat more grass than ever. If scientists weren't around to enrich grass flour with vitamins, it would be disastrous. Even whole grains are more vitamin-deficient than vegans admit. Whole wheat bread
http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/baked-products/4876/2requires 15 slices to get 100% of any vitamin at all. For most it requires more than 33 slices. At 69 calories per slice, 2000 calories (the standard for which recommended intake is indexed) is 29 slices of whole wheat bread - not enough, even if its absorption weren't mostly blocked by the fiber.
Grass is, at best, a supplemental food, but it is used as a staple instead. Maybe not all vegans eat grass, but I'm sure most of them do. Almost everyone does. That's why so many people are unhealthy.

You made the debating team, I see.

Post of the week
except when testosterone levels drop because of veganism.

Now THAT'S funny.

Yep.
1. Soy reduces testosterone through increase in estrogen
2. Lack of sat fat will lead to depressed testosterone levels
... all vegans are gay.
I'd rather have ED than have someone's bologna pony up my badonkadonk.
How can you have a good sex life with no balls?
You could also say, those that eat "a lot" of grains of vegetable oils, "drown them" in meat. Touche.
What's your point? Americans eat too many calories, too much "junk"/"fast food" (cookies, candies, refined grain/high fat pizza, McDonald's, etc) which results in high sugar AND high fat (sat fat) diets, and are extremely sedentary. Their consumption of grains PER SE has nothing to do with obesity or ill-health. In fact, you can eat a nearly all junk food diet and lose weight and get healthier. (not ideal, but it can be done. It's the calories that truly matter. )-
http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/11/08/twinkie.diet.professor/(and most vegetable oils no longer have "partially hydrogenated" fats. Most vegetable oils are very healthy in fact, with good amounts of cholesterol lowering UNsat fats. And the effects of trans fat on cholesterol levels are not that different than sat fats, much to your dismay. Lastly, nothing wrong with soybean oil really. But I see you have all your paleo talking points down pat! )
you're "high". People have been eating grains for 10,000's of years. It's only in the last 50 that the obesity epidemic has really kicked in. So your "correlation" of grain consumption and health problems of western societies is only aeons off. Close but no....actually not close at all.
And what is wrong with, Gasp (*ITALICS*), "grass"? Don't you guys always push GRASS-fed beef. So let me get this straight: the food that you think is the best is an animal that subsists on grass. But if humans eat a form of "grass" (grains), then....horrors, horrors, it's the WORST! Really?
Yes, if ALL you eat are grains ("grass") you will be deficient in many nutrients. Everyone knows this, d'uh. So that's why you eat *OTHER* (novel idea, huh?) foods too.
If all you eat is beef (and no, most people won't eat the liver and other parts that contain certain nutrients that the rest of beef does not have) you will be very deficient in many nutrients too.
You don't need meat to live, or live a healthy life, not by a long shot. And you don't need grains to live a healthy life either. There are many diets that can reach nutrient guidelines and be healthy. Stop with anti-grain pro-meat propaganda, it's just not true what you are driving at.
This statement of yours is utter nonsense: " Almost everyone does..(eat grass[grains]). That's why so many people are unhealthy."
Complete absurdity. The reason "so many people are unhealthy" clearly has to do with:
*Excess calories, particularly from dessert foods (cookies, candies, cake, etc) and "fast food" (pizza, bacon-double cheeseburgers, soda). Yes a lot of these calories are sugar/refined carbs, but a lot are ALSO from sat fat. THAT's the double whammy.
* lack of nutrient dense, low-calorie (for the most part), filling fruits and vegetables
* Sedentary lifestyles
That's it. Grain consumption per se has little if anything to do with it.
The primary grass that people eat today is either dwarf or semi-dwarf wheat. These account for 99% of wheat production worldwide. These have not been eaten for 'aeons' as they were only engineered in the 1950s and were almost immediately adopted in worldwide agriculture. That is, by the 1960s.
The correlation of 'grain consumption' and health problems of modern societies may be off but the correlation of dwarf-strain wheat and health problems is entirely congruent. To date 24 disease-causing autoimmune reponses to the proteins in dwarf-strain wheats have been identified (that I am aware of, there may be more by now). These open up several dozen cross-reactive responses from non-dwarf-wheat foods.
To the OP: if you search youtube you will find vegans claiming everything from 'veganism improves sexual health' to 'veganism gives you superstrength and magical powers'. There are quacks in every camp buy proselytising vegans in particular are often amongst the most amusing.
