that sucks
I hope you learn from this. Remember what matters and what doesn't.

Grant Fisher is a really really good runner , and would have been my pick, saw him run Indoors and was a monster.
But what he has run is a long way from the 3:45.x and 4:01.x that O'Toole has run.and 1:50.16 carries some weight also. And he has run under 9 minutes.
Fisher is scary good. Same with Maton to be honest. The juniors were well-represented in that race. Footlocker next year will be amazing. GRANT, I KNOW YOUR COACH AND MAYBE YOU VISIT LETSRUN. I know you enjoy playing soccer and I'm sure you're very good at it. Know that when you stop playing soccer and focus fully on running, you'll really become great. Fantastic race and best of luck to you.
Maton took 2nd in 4:03.23 as a junior. Fisher wins in 4:02.02 also as a junior.
Maton vs Fisher 2014 xc and 2015 track will be crazy!
In ideal conditions could both go sub 4 next year at the dream mile?

Very good times for juniors!
Fisher is a racer. While everyone else was impressing people for Letsrun Prediction threads throughout the season, Fisher was just winning crappy weather days in the mitten state. He's just getting started here.Gotta give big props to Maton as well. Seems like a good kid too. Both will be awesome next year. In fact, the entire class of 2015 is shaping up to be one of- if not THE- best in history for distance.

who coaches Maton
Nice call, wasn't sure how much his injury limited his training. Wasn't sure he could go this fast with a couple weeks off of training.
What will he do if he takes running full time?!?!
I don't like to speculate on the future, but Mr.Fisher might want to get some shades.
Is there an all-time mile list for junior's in h.s.?

Just kidding. Tough call. Winners find a way to win so I will go with Fisher. Interested to see how the WY guy runs in a field this stacked, though.
Success!

As a fellow Jew, I am proud of young Mr. Fisher's success. Of he keeps improving, there's no doubt the media will treat him right.

well that sucks for him. I've heard Michigan is terrible for training in the winter.

Well he must go south for the winter to train...cause no high schooler from Michigan has ever run well.....(sarcasm) He has a pretty sweet setup for training. Anyone who lives in/around Grand Blanc knows this.

what's his sweet setup?
So had Austin Tamagno been invited, what would he have
Sorry about that, trigger happy. What would Tamagno have run if he had been invited? He beat Cocoran in both races at Cali State meet, Cocoran ran 4:05 and got 5th. I'm saying Tamagno in 4:03 high. Let's put that transitive property of running to your speculations!
I thought you followed the sport. How do you not know what state the Foot Locker national champion is from?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
