Hi everyone. I'm trying to get more upper body strength, but I don't want to get huge muscles in my arms. Is it possible to get stronger without looking muscular?

If you don't want to get to big up top just do the dishes.

Yes, just start lifting. There is some strange misconception among women that they think if they lift, they will look like a body builder. Those body building women (who most likely juice) workout A LOT. Women won't put on muscle like men do.
Truth be told, don't do upper body work only.
Women should aim for the hourglass shape - think M. Monroe kinda physique.
Do get there, do a lot of heavy squats, deadlifts, hip thrusts, glute bridges and lunges to really grow your b*tt.
Good luck and report back, preferable with pictures.

why would the truth not be told Xfit guy?
Yeah powerlift. Ever see those guys? They look soft but they're strong! Just kidding.
Just lift and dont worry about it. The amount of test in your body isn't going to make you look like Arnold. Plus if you find yourself getting a little bulky then simply stop lifting or reduce the amount of weight you're lifting.
What you want is a good amount of strength relative to muscle mass. Look at this video, this girl can do 20 chinups, which is remarkable for a female:

Does she look bulky to you?
