Funny really, the only absolutely attractive girl/woman in running is the Italian Sara Galimberti (15.55 winning section 2 last night). But Americans don't know her, and that is not all that fast really (unless you are just so hot it doesn't matter). Goucher may not be as hot as her, but she has a resume, amongst the mostly "plain" women who populate running (unless you have serious speed goggles), that makes her standout. Her ability to create notoriety (keep her name in the running public eye anyway) for herself is what is valuable. It is so obvious that very few people on this board know much, if anything, about marketing.
