So my question is,I'm very pressed for time and It makes me have to do my running Workouts on the treadmill. I have an older treadmill that only goes 10MPH 6:00 min mile pace. So Has anyone else trained on a treadmill that only goes 10 mph and attempted workouts such as 10 x 800, 6 x mile, 2 mile repeats etc when having to set the incline to 6% to just equal 5:16 pace. Does this much incline at only 6 min pace really adapt the body to running 5:16 pace ? Has anyone done this before a marathon or half marathon and ran fast ?
It just dosen't seem to make much since and If I was training for a 5k say 4:49 avg pace I would have to have the treadmill at 10 % incline but at only 6 min pace, does not seem like if i did this on the treadmill i would not be able to do it on the roads
Please help or indicate this is possible on such a treadmill 10mph not 12mph or faster.
