You know America is lazy when...

When people leave grocery carts in the middle of parking spaces even thought the cart coral is 2 spaces away.

People drive around for 5 minutes just to get a parking space thats 200 feet closer.

I'm pretty sure not giving guests access to stairs in any sort of a building with several floors is completely and totally illegal.

at a local footy ground (aussie rules footy) there is a two story building (back of the main grand stand). Lazy bums stand waiting for 2-3mins for the elevator to come because they are too lazy to walk DOWN the stairs.

I go to Rutgetrs and we have an intercampus bus system. On College Avenue, the busiest street where many classes are held, there are two bus stops, one at each end. These bus stops are about a 3-4 minute stroll apart. You can see the busses pulling into the next bus stop from the first one, they're that close. But people will hop on one of the campus busses, sit there for over 5 minutes just to get off at that next stop at which they could have arrived two minutes earlier had they taken a walk. How lazy is that!

definitely illegal to not have stairs. either you're lying or the hotel staff was lying.

At my last job, the lady across the hall took the elevator down from our perch on the second floor every hour to smoke. (Then, of course, after her hourly five-minute fag session, she'd spend much of the next hour complaining how much work she had and booking the next hour's break with her fellow tokers.)

This is an apartment building, not a hotel, so maybe the laws are different, but my building has two sets of stairs, but they can only be used to go down (the doors won't open from the other side). This is for security, which would be even more of a problem in hotels, thus I wouldn't be suprised if a lot of hotels had the same situation, as far as getting up and down I bet some of the staff would just say, "there aren't any." Still hate it, and I'm on the 5th flooe...

You know America is lazy when you have "drive thoughs" for practically everything. Drive through banking, fast food, pharmacy, etc.

That will give me reason to come shut that hotel down. During fires all elevators are shut down! Stairs only!

I was in Yellowstone at the Mud Volcano. There are about 15 steps to take so that you can look down and see it better. This big fat scowling women is standing at the base with her hands on her hips, throwing a hissy fit because the park service hadn't installed any escalaters in the park.

Also heard two women complaining that they couldn't believe the park service would put the park "attractions" so far apart.

Biggest gripe: people who get disabled parking permits for no other reason than they are FAT or OLD. Being fat or old or both does not make you disabled. Having a weak mind does.

I'm going on a weekend bike trip on SW Ohio next month . . . the historic inn (oldest in the state) where I'm staying has four floors and no elevator. The woman on the phone was very quick to point this out. All the more reason to keep our old buildings!

I work p/t in a running store..you would be stunned at the market for motion control shoes..because of "bad feet"..When really it is obesity..just fat people who are not willing to change there habits...they walk in and act like a victim ..it is unreal...
