Well no with Meb winning Boston, is it safe to say Skechers's prices will go up? Advertising a commercial every ten minutes worth it?

I'd be intersted to try running in Skechers. I know a lot of people bash them based on reputation (hell I do it too) but I am sure 99% of the people doing that haven't actually tried the shoes.

Do they offer any sort of racing flats for the roads? Like the Nike Streaks? With this win Skechers could turn into a Mizuno!
Man ohh man, Skechers will rise. The South has fallen now Skechers will start balling, or running...

5/10, nice try.
they've been courting a big female free agent as well. just wait...
This is probably 100% because of Meb... I think I'm actually going to try out a pair of Skechers.

You need to try them so you can eat your own words. They are actually quite nice and get good reviews from the hard core shoe people. They aren't gimmicky at all- very balanced, lightweight, and something for everyone. Their Performance Division is led by a guy who helped create Nike Frees and another guy who worked for Fila. They are creating legit, affordable shoes. It would be a mistake for running specialty stores not to start carrying them now.
Decent shoes and getting better each year. Go Run Ultras feel great, and yes, there is always a way to get their shoes cheap.
"Skechers performance division" shoes (not skechers "lifestyle" shoes)are the least gimmicky, best value, and in my opinion, most ergonomic and comfortable running shoes I have ever bought. And they are affordable. I recommend the go run bionic- similar to a free run 3, much more flexible, much cheaper, more comfortable imo.
I am going to buy a pair.

My local running store tried them and all wear testers agreed they didn't wear well- they felt that you wouldn't get many miles on them.
I'd like to hear some reports.
I love the Go Runs! If you like Nike Frees (which I do), then you'll like the Skechers. I've been running in them for about 3 years now and don't plan to stop. Check out Amazon for some deals on them. I've gotten a few pair for $26 and others for less than $50.
They are legit running shoes. I ran my best races in adidas, before Skechers were around, but unlike Meb, my best days are behind me so I never had a chance to put them to the test. Nevertheless, I'd accept an endorsement deal from them. :D
P.S. F--k yeah Meb!!!!!

I see that posted a lot and I don't get it as my experience is the opposite.
My pair of GoRun Ride's have done 1,000 miles and are looking OK, still use them occasionally with a new insole in them.
My GoRun 2's don't seem to be wearing all that much faster, although I managed to put a little rip in the upper when I didn't change out of them and kicked a football (as in what the whole world considers to be football, not the US thing) around with my son.

I have heard this too. Oh imagine how great it would be if they were to sign Jordan Hasay. The top American male distance runners as well as the top female distance runner. Wow - what a duo!
A good friend of mine just left the company he was working at to take a job with Skechers. Even before he switched, he had tried the GoRuns and was raving about them. I'm tempted to order a pair, but I want to try them on first. No stores near me carry em.

The last thing specialty stores want is people to start buying $70 shoes.
Most specialty stores are reluctant to carry too many of the bargain models in even mainstream running brands.
