He looked dead to rights for a moment and it seemed that he held on with pure guts alone. Phenomenal race. Tears came to my eyes with Meb's victory.

Amen. One of the greatest sporting moments in my lifetime.
Absolutely.
Yes, I cried upon recognizing that this is the day my sport died.
Sorry, but if you didn't see how obvious the fix was when an elite African field just lets the American go in the first 10 miles at a very pedestrian pace then you don't understand the sport. That just doesn't happen.
Sad. Incredibly sad.
If they would have paid anyone off, it would have been on the women's side. Or they would have had Hall win.
If you're going to fix the race, might as well pick a fast blonde.
He won it fair and square.
Yeah! Tears of Joy!

Ummm...sorry to point out the obvious but you cannot pay someone to run faster than they are capable of running. You can only pay someone off to NOT keep up with the leading American, whoever that might be.
Try thinking things through before posting next time.
Honestly, Yes. It was absolutely beautiful.
Yes, I teared up.
Almost and I not an emotional type.
Yes. Inspiring beyond anything I've seen.
Pretty darn close to tears... It was incredible... Especially after what happened last year... Meb's push in the last 2 kilometers was one of the most courageous things I've ever seen, and I'll never forget that.

Spouting BS about a great man winning America's Marathon! I have a miserable life and must be negative towards others so I can feel better about mine. I sure am lucky the BroJos don't require registration so I would have to be consistent with my opinions.
Ah, so a handle thief, the lowest of all possible life forms, decides to join us. Most impressive.
Sorry if you cannot see something so obvious. Tell me, when is the last time an elite men's field did not stay with the lead?
In the first ten miles of the race.
At a very pedestrian pace.
Oh, and this comes on the anniversary of the Boston bombings? Gee, what a remarkable coincidence!

Shut up you tin foil hat retard, you Alex Jones loving, 911 troofer, Obama birther wack job.
Well, that's better.
Now go ahead and answer the question. When WAS the last time?
Sure. 2h06-2h07 pace at that point is very pedestrian.
some people here judge marathon based on PR's performances. They think that guys who've run 2h03-2h05 should run that in every marathon.
they don't seem to understand about the sport. World is full of examples. Makau just set a WR and one year later was running 2h14. Kimetto and Desisa are very talented but they can't 2h04-2h05 in every race.
I am not even american but i am happy with Meb's victory. those who say it was fixed should be ashamed and study more about the sport.
Yes. Pedestrian pace. Meb set a PR today, by the way. I'm sure he counted on that as an absolute when negotiating with the BAA on his win today.
I may or may not have shed a manly tear
"Crying Man" is clearly not very knowledgeable. Meb's time was about right for a winning time in Boston "Except for a few years ago with the tailwind" Are you forgetting that last year was run in 2:10?
The man won Boston Marathon's biggest day in one of the greatest upsets in major marathon history. Could barely process what I was seeing. Major flashbacks to Rupp's silver in London.

If you think that the finish time tells the whole story then you truly have no knowledge of the sport.
Now, go ahead and answer THE question: When was the last time a field of elite Africans did not keep up with the lead...in the first few miles...of a major marathon...being run at a pedestrian pace?
I'll be waiting for an answer.
