Even thought a lot of world class marathoners wear the Adios Boost, it's not a "flat." It's pretty traditional actually. Flat mean....well.....flat. Not 9-10mm drop.A race flat has a low drop and low stack height. Is that what you really want?

Here is the flat for you:
Saucony A6 is by far the best racing flat on the market. If I were you, I wouldn't even consider anything else.

Thanks for reminding me why I hate this website.
Lightweight flats reduce distal weight. The tips of the extremities are the last place you want to add weight if you think of them like levers. This has nothing to do with speed or technique. Yet people feel the need to come on this board anyways and rubbish like "very few people have an efficient stride would make any difference" as if they have a clue what they're talking about.
Anyways I'm going to leave the forums for a long time again because I know the know-nothings like you never will.
Frank Shorter said wearing flats made a 1-2 second difference to him running road mile repeats @ 5 min per mile pace. We are talking about a 9 minute per mile marathon on this thread. I would put Frank Shorter in the efficient stride category.
Update: I ran a PR of 3:27:20 wearing the Adidas Adizero Adios Boost. I slowed down a bit the last 10K, but other than that, my legs and feet felt good. I already feel recovered 3 days later.
