bad. It over works your calves & nobody notices your calves anyways. It's all in your imagination.

Changing a normal gait to an abnormal gait is never a good idea. I am actually surprised you did not get plantar fascia issues or arch problems before you got calf issues. It's a good thing you don't have a big D, or you might have walked around hip thrusting everywhere. That would have been dangerous ...
I will sometimes press harder off the ground whilst walking, but only for brief periods of time. It feels good, like an active stretch.
