Honestly that seems more realistic at this point, considering it's his debut at the distance and the competition. I like Mo, I hate NOP.
I bet he will be trying for a lot faster then the UK record
'I think if Bekele can run that fast there's no reason why I can't'
What a joke. That guy can't even do 10 pullups.
Hopefully he'll try for more than just the UK record.

And that has what to do with running a fast marathon?
To summarize the article:
Mo is confident that he can run 2:05 because Bekele ran 2:05 so he's going to target 2:07 at the London Marathon because the field is better and that is what champions do.
Would be funny if Chris Thompson grabs the record instead

What a joke, you're a pathetic loser with no life, crappy job, and no chance at a girl....ever.
When did he say he was going to win?
British record or not, anything over 2:06 is a failure for him. He should be targeting around 2:04:00-2:05:00.

After saying that he goes to London and takes risks because that's what champions do (and I understand: and Kenenisa doesn't, so he's not a champion), you'd expect him to fight for the win. Otherwise, that makes his talk completely hollow. Go to London to just try to better the British record? Hardly impressive.
I was a little disappointed Kenenisa did not choose London (even if it was reasonable, after all). But he stated clearly he was aiming at a very fast time. He did put some pressure on himself and he almost delivered to the level I expected.
Mo Farah has a few great things going for him (fighting spirit, behaves well whether he wins or loses), but I think he lacks respect for Kenenisa. If he doesn't run fast on Sunday, we will be able to answer his question "if he can run fast, why couldn't I?" with "because he is a better runner".

“For me, in terms of my ability and setting myself a target, my main target is going after the British record (2:07:13). But I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t believe I could win.”
