So I am not sure if it was the fact that I was racing in no man's land or if I just am losing any speed I used to have but I just ran 2:07 in a 4x800. This is what I ran as a sophomore in high school and I am currently a Junior in college.
I have run 2:03 indoors last year and 54.xx in a 400 but this year I have been more focused on longer distances. I ran 16:27 for the 5k this year but I feel like I am more of a 1500 guy.
What I am wondering is, if I want to run 4:10 or faster in the 1500, should I be running faster 800s? Or do I have enough strength to pull this off.
I have run 4:17 last year and 4:42 for the mile this year.
Just curious if my goals are out of my league and maybe should focus on the 5k.
