hey yall, i have a question that related to sprinting and taping injuries. i posted on here a couple of months ago asking for advice, and it seemed i needed to get my speed increased at shorter events to get better at the 400m, and i got it. when i sprinted a couple months ago i ran a 13.7 in the 100m, a 27.4 in the 200m, and a 61 in the 400m. i ran a 12.2 100m recently and got my speed up which was awesome, but my 400m was still the same time. i thought this didn't make sense. having always been more a 200m - 400m sprinter, i thought my 400m should now be a bit faster. i wasnt sure if i now have bad endurance or injuries were the culprit. when i ran the 12.2 100m i had both feet taped by my trainer at the time because i had some pain on the lower part of my legs concentrated on the inside of both legs(probobally shin splints). during my last 400m which was a 61 i didnt tape either foot and my lower legs were aggravating again after the race. i was wondering if maybe i am an overpronator or something like that(i have been told by my trainer and my doctor that i have extra flat feet). if it helps i am about 6 foot 1, 170lbs and slightly muscular, and after i started sprinting i started getting mild pain concentrated only in the lower back. thanks for any advice.
