lets give the coaches and athletes some time calm down first, everyone is all jacked up.

If they both pull out who gets to go with Grunewald??
She still doesn't get to go because she was DQed, not next in line. That is… if this is true.
no worlds for them? what else would they run there? whats the reasoning?
There were only 3 runners with qualifying times - Shannon, Gabriele, and Jordan.
Groanwald is our best chance to win at worlds as she can plow all those africans out of the way.

USATF could make any decision it wants on that. IAAF will accept her because she has the qualifier.
Nike is the 800 pound monster in the room and more people are beginning to see it. Hopefully, some ex-Nike athletes will step up and add to the discussion. The heaviness of Salazar's actions require further dialogue.
Hasay must be 95 pounds dripping wet and I worry about her. I hate the fact so many people think she's the future and maybe the stresses of being Hasay in today's climate will be too much. Some compassion for her might be necessary. Although she did sign up for this gig. The decisions Salazar has made for Hasay puts her in a bad light. Her silence says a great deal.

This^^
You have to have the standard in order to go. Gabe was DQ'd so she is technically pulled from the race entirely. If USATF went back and un-DQ'd her it would look even worse on their part. Hasay and Rowbury were the only other 2 with the standard. If they don't go, no one goes. It's not fair to the other athletes in other countries who worked hard to get the standard. I think the 2 will still run, but if they didn't, wow, LetsRun.com the drama has just begun.........

Cain just ran 4:07 indoors and ran 9:02 or something last year. She is only 17. This takes a lot of pressure off Hasay, even though Hasay is prettier and more marketable, Cain is the big story now, or Efraimson.
Unless Hasay gets down to 4:00/8:30/14:50 there will be 3-5 girls in the US that will beat her and 10 Africans. She will need to stay in the 5k/10k. With D'Agostino, Cain, Simpson, Efraimson, and a few others, Hasay will have to settle for getting beat like she did today in the 1500/2k/3k ... and probably 5k.

Wrong again. USATF can select any runner who has the standard and IAAF will accept. There is no "unfairness" to athletes from other countries. Many countries don't even have national qualifying championships.
If they both pull out, it will make Salazar look even worse, i.e. raising hell to get Gabe DQ'ed so Hasay can go, and then pulling Hasay anyway. It's like an extra slap in the face to Gabe.
So how many unconfirmed stories related to the women's 3000 are popping around Letsrun right now? 16? 27?

Hard to envision Hasay's future marketability after all this. Although Cain's 4:07 is a huge story, Hasay's reinstatement overshadowed that by far. Efraimson closes much faster than Hasay ever will and so does Cranny. Both have much greater upside than Hasay and neither will make the mistake of joining NOP.

Efraimson closing faster is irrelevant if Hasay is 5+ seconds ahead of her. And neither has more upside than Hasay. Hasay has significantly greater endurance than them. And a faster mile/1500 time. The concept of greater upside doesn't even exist - speed can be trained. See Rupp and Farah and every sprinter.
Perhaps we need some high school girls to push the pace in these "championship" races. These times and racing strategy of slogging around in 85 second pace is sad. And I have to ask, how the hell did anyone of these to runners get dropped. It didn't speed up until the final 200...

Efraimson is 16 and Cranny is 17. Both are not far behind Hasay right now, not hard to see both running 4:10 this year. Efraimson has much more closing speed and Cranny has closing speed with great form. Both have tremendous upside.
Hasay's upside is she will have a career like Sarah Bei Hall. Nothing wrong with that.
Even worse... wrote:

True Salazar really put jordan in a no win situation, unless usatf reverses the DQ, which is unlikely, as they dont like taking responsibility for their mistakes.
Anyways
The Plot Thickens
What are you talking about? What does Rowbury have to do with this? She ran her race and didn't care that GG bumped her. Why would she not go to World's???Sometimes the junk said here is so far beyond silly it shocks me. So she needed to say something on Twitter about her plans to run at Worlds? Placing second isn't enough?

Rowbury has said nothing on her Twitter since the race either. Seems like maybe they are going to drop out of Worlds.

No, what you're saying makes no sense. Hasay has just as much 'upside' as they do. She has greater endurance. They have better sprint speed. Hasay can improve her speed just like they can improve their endurance. The concept of upside makes no sense at all.
