It was definitely ridiculous that GG ran into the back of both Hasay and Rowbury (although I'm not sure if there was any real contact with Rowbury, it looked more like GG just had to stumble because she was about to hit Rowbury). I don't know how you run into the back of two people in a row, its like she was just expecting to tuck behind them both times and was surprised she actually got around them.
Normally you swing wide when passing people, really bizarre she didn't do that.
That said, this DQ is insanely stupid and it really needs to get overturned. While I'm sure Hasay lost some momentum from it she had no chance at making world's at that point. Hell, GG lost momentum twice as she came up on both runners but still blasted away. Hasay was just dying, or at least had nothing left to kick with.
Also, after watching the video several times, it was definitely GG's fault that she ran into Hasay, although since it just caused a stumble, its not like Hasay was knocked down, there is absolutely no grounds for a DQ. Hasay was on the outside of the lane but GG was way to close, GG was inside of Hasay's stride, so when the turn started Hasay naturally moved in a little to so as not to run extra on the turn, and there she ran into GG way too close to her. At that point GG realized she had to actually go around Hasay to pass her, not sure why she didn't think of that before running up on Hasay's stride. So yeah GG's fault, she was running a bit wild on that last lap, but it didn't affect the results at all so Salazar is awful for protesting and the officials are awful for letting him pressure them into DQing the rightful winner.
