"She needs to learn" ?!? Learn what. It's Hasay & Rowbury who got schooled. They need to learn. It's indoor track with large fields. There's going to be some touching.

Then what happens?

+1
She ran a terrible race and had zero chance to win with how slow it was for so long.
Agree, and that was clear from lap one.
And I also think Gabe should be DQ'd. Reckless, stupid, unnecessary contact running...
I watched it with a friend who doesn't know anything about track and she said "why the hell is she running up the ass of these other runners instead of around them?"
It is as if Gabewund/whatever, needs glasses.
Hate to break the news to you Hassay fans but she will never make an international track team in a distance less than 10k and if qualifying comes down to a kick, she's SOL. HS phenom trying to make a professional career of it, bless her heart, but will never have the speed it will take in championship racing. She got trampled because she was running too slow and was in the way when someone with obviously greater speed turned it on. She responded as I thought she would so there's no surprise that Alberto is crying foul. Trying to protect his own image because he's made a mistake with taking this one on. I was actually surprised that Rupp finished his race as well. There was no way he was ever going to beat Lagat either.
Your stupid. They were in open territory when the contact occurred.

Hasay needs to move up to the marathon. She will never run as fast as Shalane in the 10,000/5,000.
Oh yeah, I remember her getting lapped on that one. Again, BELOW 10K douche!!!! Sad that that was a spot some of our better athletes didn't want. Would have been nicer to be better represented. Was AlSal at the finish line protesting that one too?
#1 IMHO, no, with 400m to go, Hasay wasn't still in it, because she has no finishing speed.
#2 even given that, I'd say she ran a truly bad last 200m [whatever you may think of the contact] based on the splits below.
#2 If I'm AlSal, I'm really not happy that Jordan didn't manage a competent last 200m so that when I try to get the 2x cancer survivor DQ'd, my runner isn't in 3rd instead of 4th. [and hey, I'm - mostly - an AlSal fan, but I think he's making a serious PR mistake if he is in fact trying to get MS GG dq'd however she may have behaved v'a'v the rules]

13 women on a small track and 5:18 at the mile. That's asking for trouble.
Did you even watch the race you Nimrod? This wasn't contact in the pack.

The men looked like roller derby.
I don't agree with the protest because Hasay wasn't making worlds regardless. However, you can't say it's Hasay's fault that she got rammed from behind. She did not swing wide, Grunewald was out of control. That said, at best Hasay would have gotten 3rd behind Grunewald and Rowbury so not sure what the protest would be about.

You must mean she got robbed of all the food in her house, right? Hasay looks WAY too skinny. Major eating disorder right there. Maybe she'd actually have something left at the end of a race if she put on a few pounds!
It's the Salazar speed gaining plan. There's a nice mixture of laxatives, foreign medication and other misc. cocktail components. It worked well for Moser and Erdmann, too!
It's results that matter. These people are supposed to be professionals so no matter what the fans think or say it's up to the officials to make the call and the athletes have to deal with the fallout. What's the winner supposed to say after the race beyond an apology to the other athlete (which she probalby did)? In this media driven world, everyone feels like they have an opinion that should be considered but in reality it doesn't matter how much anyone cries about it. This race was over once the sprinting began. It's likely someone will get bumped indoors. If the officials felt there was impedence, they would have called it.
Ruth Wysocki, you are not.
Am I wrong in thinking Saladbar wants EVERYTHING his own way. Including that staged time trial to get Hasay into the World Champs......y'know the time trial with the MALE pacers.
Am I way outta line here?

I think that the corporate world has taken over his approach to athletics. He's forgotten the spirit of what is supposed to be going on. Self promoter, trying hard to corner the American market and take on any foreign hopefuls that will allow him to look good. Yes, he's a good coach for some athletes that he's hand picked. Having Nike in your purse makes a lot of things happen for him that don't for others including staying ahead of the testing agency.
