So I will get straight to the point I seem to be able to do mile repeats at like 4:50 pace with equal rest I can run 200s 400s 600s all pretty fast about sub 4 minute pace with very long recovers about 4 times the rest it took me I can do long 10 mile runs at about 6:10 pace with some tightness and burning in my legs towards the end but my problem is I cannot do a simple 4-6 mile tempo run at lets say 5:35-5:45 pace without getting to the 2nd mile and sucking a lot of wind legs tightening up and hurting so bad that I cannot stay on pace and I definitely would not be able to finish those tempo runs able to do an extra mile my PR's include 1:58: 800, 4:19 1600, 9:38 3200, 15:50 5k, 27:01 8k how can I get my pace down so I can run those runs 'comfortably hard while working my way down to some day being able to run those like at 5:10 pace?
