No.
Holy shit. Only been sad like 6 times before this:
"Any athlete who attains any of the following shall be afforded automatic qualification into a USA Indoor, Outdoor, Race Walking or Marathon Championship or USA Olympic Team selection in the same event in which the performance was attained"
More importantly looking at the USATF website for 2014 Indoors it says this:
"Indoor qualifying standards excepting the men's heptathlon and women's pentathlon, must be attained on or after Saturday, November 15, 2013 through Sunday, February 16, 2014."
So, assuming that is correct it leaves only 2 possibilities:
1) Rupp qualification is somehow waived
2) Rupp ran a low key/staged qualifier we don't know about[/quote]
USATF's rules state that you are afforded automatic entry to US Indoors if you have the World Indoor Championship 'A' standard in the event in which you are seeking to run.
As the IAAF's window for Sopot began on the 1st day of 2013, Rupp's split from his 3:50 mile counts as an 'A' standard for the 1500m in Sopot, this he is exempt from running a 1500m or indoor mile during USATF' Indoor's 2014 qualifying window.
