is it free to go to nationals and watch? no entry fee or anything? anything to pay for at all or things that are worth paying for there?

It's probably about 10 bucks to get in.
Make sure you get a few delicious square donuts in the morning for breakfast.
I always dressed up like a team member and got in for free (even though non-running team members technically still have to pay). Otherwise it's probably 5 or 10 bucks. Another 5 or 10 if you drive and park there, but we always parked at a gas station nearby and ran there.

That might be hard to do when you are 50. Maybe I can dress up like a coach?
Thanks. Good idea dressing up as a team member. Did you wear specific school stuff or just running clothes?
Did you leave your car parked at a gas station the whole time? Any risk of towing? I don't really mind paying parking if it's under $10 anyways
Also, is Lavern a spectator friendly course? Will I be able to actually see the races well or is everyone crowded up against the course and it's impossible to really see?
And if it is good to spectate, can I see a lot of the different parts of the races, or do people mainly stay in one spot and see the runners only a couple times? I doubt there's any jumbotron right? Of course I plan to jog around to get to numerous viewing spots, but just wanna get an idea of things before I go
