At first my leg numbness seemed to be in one "circular" spot on the side of my thigh as I ran..
Or, I should say, that the small spot was the only spot that WASN't numb..
I kept flicking at it as I ran, thinking that there was a clod of mud or something sticking to my leg..
But it's that my thigh was numb except for that small spot.
Turned out that it was a pinched nerve in my spine..
Which got worse and worse for a long period of time and resulted in me getting 5 or 6 epidurals once the damage got so bad that I was walking like Boris Karloff in the "Mummy" movie.
But, it started out as my thigh going numb except for a small spot.
And got worse.
Pinched nerve in my spine...the fluid leaking out...from the vertebrae...
5 or 6 epidurals, physical therapy (I flunked out of physical therapy once because I couldn't lift my foot and sent back to orthopedist) ...and about 6 months of no running.
