Right now I'm a Sophomore in HS just about to finish my XC season. As this year went on, I realized I don't really like XC, besides my friends and the face that we use the period to do study hall. I want to take the most difficult classes I can next year to boost my GPA, while maintaining a job. I don't, however, want to be waking up at 6:30 on 6 hours of sleep every morning, with Saturdays being meet days almost all day.
Here is what I am thinking of doing Junior year:
-Take highest classes
-Keep job
-Continue running/gaining fitness ON MY OWN, with a few 5ks thrown in
-Not do track
I would then join XC/track again my Senior year when things have died down and I basically have one semester until my high school career is over.
Thoughts? Thanks so much, I'm in quite a dilemma with myself.
