In my opinion, not that much. I have PRs of 1:13:30/2:39:49 and smoke 0.5g of chronic (3-5 bowls) every single day. This includes race mornings.
*I meant to say 0.5g - 1.0g per day. I am high and forgot to add the 1.0 part.

don't your lungs get all constricted with smoking? I'm interested in edibles but I'm quite afraid of smoking.
For me, lungs are never an issue. I prefer races that are 10+ miles and my legs are always what do me in. At anything over 5:30 pace, I do not really breathe heavily enough to be concerned with my lungs. I just keep my fingers crossed that my legs can hold on when I am racing.
I am sure that if I quit smoking pot, it would improve my lung capability. Improved lung capability would probably allow my legs to receive more oxygen and not get tired as quickly. I have never studied exercise science and am basically talking out of my ass, but that seems to make sense.
So, in a way, I think that smoking is somewhat affecting my running. My lungs definitely never feel constricted though. During races, people I am running around often comment on how casually I talk and on the fact that I am never "out of breath". For what it's worth, I can hold my breath for like 2 minutes which is pretty damn good (at least compared to my stoner friends who are willing to compete with me in breath-holding competitions).
as a guy who's been medicating for a while I can say that you may experience trouble running "anaerobically" but relaxed easy running is not a problem. I am not sure about the particulars of smoking but the effects of the plant itself involve dilation of blood vessels, I believe. Your heart rate goes up about 20 beats so doing really intense running might not be good while high, although I have gone for many long runs and tempo runs, and even ran a marathon high.
You might need to drink more water. I have often felt quite parched while running baked.
Easy answer/question - how much do you think it helps? Next thread please.
Im not trolling Im actually totally serious, I didnt start running til junior year of high school and was AWFUL JUST AWFUL when I started, worked my way to a sub 5min mile by the end of senior year and smoked on weekends pretty much the whole time
