Little bit of background
Have been running (for fun) over a year and a bit, after doing general sports for my childhood. just turned 17.
Only started training very hard around february the beginning of this year, since then done track etc. since then I've never taken more than 2 days off in a row. We run hard tues, thurs, sat and sun, only around 40 mpw though. track season here has finished and we've just started xc. I've got a xc race the day before i take a 10 day holiday to st Lucia. I wonder whether my body will benefit from a rest.
Should i
a) take the whole ten days off and just swim, weights etc out there?
b) try and run, but run easily and only a bit
c) run, but run hard
I would like to personally do a few hard days with days off in between or something like that. I won't be able to run everyday - parents won't allow that. I also don't know how i am going to be able to train on holiday ( as in where and what i should be doing). Should i stick to treadmill stuff? do intervals? inputs gladly accepted
