uh yeah, that's b/c she's an 800m runner.
anyway, you're a 14 y/o girl trying to improve your 800 ... just keep doing what you're doing - listen to your coach - if you put in the effort, expect to reap the rewards. there's no magic bullet.

Either a troll or one of the top 14yo 800 runners in the US. Since this is LR, we have to assume the former.
I finish 3rd at the JO's in the 800m. So Iam very real. My coach isn't really good he's a football coach. I have been blessed with some track talent and want to try and get better and go to college on a track scholarship. Thats why Iam asking for advice with ways to help me get better. Workouts, weights, anything. Thanks
Do yourself a favor - don't ask for advice here.
Contact Al Salazar to see if he is looking for another Mary Cain (just kidding) - or he may know of a coach in your area (if your HS coach isn't capable enough for you) to approach.
Seriously, if your school coach truly cares about your development (and they also admit they lack the ability to take you to the level to which you aspire), maybe there is a coach in your area who can help, outside of the school. Of course many will say that you have to stick with your school coach (because they are ALL so good??!!)come hell or high water - usually it is the school coaches that say this however, lots of them post here.
2.15 is good for a HS freshman, but don't get too carried away with goals for next year - try and get into a sensible training situation (good coach and training group, or at least a good coach, the training group is less important at your stage of development). Talk to the school coach to see what they really know, and whether they are prepared to learn (some are, some not so much - think they know it all already, when they are really "team" sport people and see track/XC in that light, not in terms of individual development - what is good for one person is good for everyone, one size fits all).
214 is already scholarship material. It would have won my state last year.
I'd concern myself with finding a good coach that I trust though rather than trying DIY. Perhaps the parents could speak to the AD. Explain that they have a possibly elite talent and aren't sure about the coaching (if thats the case). Possibly look into another school, perhaps a private school?
Step 1. Find a trusted advocate (hopefully parents). Step 2. Get the advocate to advocate for her interests and find a qualified coach/situation. A 14 year old should not have to do this herself one would hope.
