Depends what type of program you are in. If he needs results from you now he will probably not be patient.
Also be careful doing this. I happen to be someone who changed from decent heel strike. to a decently aggressive toe strike. I attempted to do this because i was having trouble with injury and thought a form change might help. It wasn't the easiest thing to do and i hurt my Achilles pretty bad in my second race with the new form, I was out for 3-4 months.
Also consider the fact that you can run fast with a heel strike, see kara goucher for proof.
