OK so I'm an ex college runner who wants to start training for a HM. I haven't really ran in a couple of weeks after I left my team. I really don't have a clue where to start when it comes to the HM. I know I should do more longer stuff like tempos and just more volume overall. but that's about it I'm not sure how to periodize it. Before I left the team I was in about 26:40 8k shape and only doing about 55-65 mpw with doubles 3-4 times per week. I've never been a high millage guy even before that I was never really over 40. I get injured easily anyways. however I'm sure I can handle 70-80. my goal is to shoot for a 80 minutes in my first HM and just kind of take it from there.
