Curious as to if he's done for the season, or if he'll be running more meets in Europe?

It'd be cool if he did 5th Ave Mile this year.
On the IV table getting ready for next indoor season.
everyone critiques schumacher's group for sparse racing...how does someone like jager compare to what rupp has done this year regarding racing?

As much as I'd love to see Rupp in a 5000 or 3000, and we still might, Jager doesn't do the events Rupp does. Doubling at 5K - 10K at USAs & Worlds, as well as a few other hard 5000's this summer is not the same as 3000's 1500's and steeples.
Not saying anything is better or worse, it's just apples and oranges. Rupp most certainly needs some down time which Centro did not, and most likely due to the respective events.
Hopefully Rupp had a week or two down time and then will sharpen up and get into another 3000 or 5000 before the season ends. But who knows, maybe there is a half marathon in the schedule.

Other than the 5000 at the Pre Classic, 5 and 10k double at USATF Championship, the Monaco 5000, London mile, and 5 and 10k double at Worlds, Rupp hasn't raced at all since the indoor season where he didn't do anything memorable.

That is 13 races - has any american WC team member (distance runner) run so many races?
Don't forget Monaco 5k 13:05, so that's 14 races.

Indoor = HS dual meets, who cares?

Yeah, I've been to a couple of HS dual meets with winning times of 3:50 and 7:30 in the mile and 3000m. You're right, they weren't worth crap.

Umm.... while perhaps not "memorable" if you weren't there thats pretty damn fast indoors. Its been a long season...some slack should be granted.

Here is a new thought about Rupp never posted before.
It would be surprising but not totally shocking if Rupp retired this winter.
Laugh if you want. Admittedly I'm not predicting it. But Rupp does have a life outside of track. He was a very good student by all reports. I would imagine he aspires to a serious career after track and getting closer to 30 he may want to get on with it. He seems annoyed more than anything by the spotlight. His fans are never satisfied (I know because I'm one of them). His silver goes a long way towards proving everything he ever wanted to prove. Seeing him run this year has all the hallmarks of someone who is still great and trains hard out of habit, yet his heart isn't quite into it. Its not unprecedented either. Actually by historical standards Rupp has already had a very long career at the elite level and I would think he has given himself a little nest egg on which to build on the rest of his life.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
