Sally V,
Here is an article on S&P earnings the outlines the problem for you and the Bullish view, but you can't handle the truth. Good luck though, you and the other Muppets will need it.

U.S. stock futures edged lower Tuesday, as investors waited for readings on personal income, spending and inflation and took in earnings from CVS, P&G and other household names.
The dip puts the Dow Jones Industrial Average on track for its seventh down session in a row.
Dow futures fell by 31 points, or 0.2%, to 18,295, while S&P 500 futures lost 5.15 points, or 0.2%, to 2,159.25. Nasdaq-100 futures shed 9 points, or 0.2%, to 4,735.50.
June readings on personal income, consumer spending and core inflation are expected to hit at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time. Economists polled by MarketWatch have forecast 0.3% growth for the income figure, a 0.4% rise for the spending number and a 0.1% rise for the inflation metric.
"While many investors may already be eyeing up Friday's U.S. jobs data, today's income, spending and inflation figures should not be overlooked and will also be very influential when the [Federal Reserve] is deciding whether or not to raise interest rates at the coming meetings," said Craig Erlam, senior market analyst at Oanda, in a note.

Can we please get this flaming ahole banned from commenting?
Hi, K5! How's the view from in front of the mirror?

Has it gotten so pathetic that you are now copying and pasting your own quotes?
Just when you think Detector can sink no lower...
Did I say that before? I actually just wrote that post off the top of my head. But it is funny to see you of all people complaining about someone copying and pasting. Thanks for the laugh.
I'll say it again, the advice by Maserati to watch DB has been the single most valuable contribution to this insanely long thread.
I know nobody with a mind reads this thread any longer, and since Maserati has stopped posting I have basically stopped reading, but he seemed like such a doom-and-gloom kind of guy that I kind of tuned out. Scary to think that maybe he was on to something.
However, he was the first to admit that he wasn't predicting a direction for the stock. Right or wrong, others here have been more specific with their prognostications.
Wow, one of the last rational posters left here. I wasn't referring to the specific direction, I was referring to the fact that something significant actually happened with it, something more significant than just its stock price. It's pretty easy to conclude that he knew the price was going down, btw, but more interesting is the contagion and the effect on the bond market, and potentially on fiscal policy. What was it the canary in the coal mine? Most interesting thing yet on this thread. btw it seems like you have your head screwed on straight, how in the heck can you still stand this thread, after the troll has destroyed it?
Thanks for the kind words. Yes Maserati was adamant that something was about to surface with DB. I wish he had shared more of his insight, but apparently he was uncomfortable with that. I can understand.
I mostly read the thread for the occasional insight. But one does have to sift through a fair amount of dirt and grit just to get to that one nugget. Now that the troll has been outed, perhaps he will tire of his little game here and move on. Meanwhile I will continue to do my best to ignore him.

What's wrong with copying and pasting?
Now when you copy and past your own lame comments....
I didn't do that. Are you drunk again, K5?
My,
DB 9 cents from its 20 year low. Story out DB and Credit Suisse (CS) to be removed from the STOXX index.

An excellent example of confirmation it's from an avowed bear.
007,
At a market top, with distortions a plenty, probably a good time to listen to a Bear.

Speaking of Barron's, they had some big love for 3 of the FANGs today. They were effusive over their earnings and growth. The B boys are very bullish there. Perhaps Barron's also subscribes to the "DGTD contrarian indicator" theory. :-)
