Ghost, quit using my real name. I don't care but what is YOUR real name. You know mine but what is yours. You get more and more slimy with every post of yours.

AND you called my big, fat and ugly - which you know I am not. How about $10,000 on a 5k - you and me, agree?

Listen Sally, I can be as dirty as you have been to me. If that is where you want to go, so be it.

You have been name-calling. You know my name and used it here. Why would you do that? I could not care less that you did but why would you do that? Tell me your name. And you called my big, fat and ugly when I am none of those. I challenge you to a race for $10,000. You in for that?
Using my name here is way overboard, chump. Tell me who you are and we can discuss.

Sally,
I am 68 years old and my first name is Reid. How about you, how old are you?

Well, then is would not be that much of a race. Why the name-calling? How do you know me?
We maybe agree to not talk to each other any more.

Sally,
No, I said you are a big fat ugly liar. I figured as a Trump supporter you would get the joke. Remember when Trump called stocks “a big fat ugly market.”

I don’t mind talking to you just stop calling me a liar when it is not justified.

Igy - I can't stand Trump. He is a buffoon. He treats women like cr%p. He is childish and immature. He looks terrible. But, I think he has done , or his policies, have helped the country. The alternative, like an AOC, would ruin the country.

That is cool. Am curious - how do you know my name?

Sally,
You didn’t hide your email on one of your posts. In regards to your running perhaps we can do and age graded bet. Gentkemen’s bet of course. The 5k is my favorite. Ran 13:51 3 mile as a youngster and 18:02 at age 55. Both on the track. Hit 22:30 road fall of 2017. I was diagnosed and treated for follicular lymphoma most of 2018. I could use some motivation.

Wow, Igy. So sorry for your lymphoma. You ran so great in 2017. That is a tremendous time. Are you still able to train as you would like? I will say some prayers and pray that you get your 2019 time better than the 22:30. I would even run with you if you so desired. I am a bit younger than you but still pretty fast. I would be honored to run a 5k at your side.

Not that I care but why would you bring my real name into the discussion? Seriously, Ghost, that is all you have?
No, that’s not all he has. Look above the post I quoted and you’ll see he still likes to impersonate other posters. Can you spell T-R-O-L-L?
Sally,
Thanks. Actually still have pretty good wheels. I ran a 2:59 indoor 800 meters the week I was diagnosed. A lump appeared on my shoulder the day of the race. Thought that is odd better have it checked out. The average age of diagnosis for follicular lymphoma is age 65. It is a blood cancer of the B-Cells. Four and half months of chemo and a month of radiation takes it’s toll. The worst part of the treatment is they give you steroids to support your immune system. I gained 30 lbs during chemo and have lost about half that. So building back up. I was a college track coach for nineteen years and I have been in financial services 22 years. I am not anti-stock at all.

Ghost, you seem like a fighter. My dad survived pancreatic cancer almost 20 years, when the average survival rate for 5 years is 2%. Yes, 98% die within 5 years. With your sporting background I think you will be too much for the cancer to handle. May god bless you and maybe we caan run a race together. If you can slow down enough for me.
Sally,
Thanks again. Lost my Dad to lung cancer, and a brother to lymphoma (1955). My father was a smoker and they say lymphoma is not genetically inherited. Fortunately my cancer is common and treatable. In relation to ten years ago, I am fortunate to be a patient today. I had my first routine CT scan Valentine’s Day and a call the next day from the oncologist that the scan was clean. The next check-up is in six months and will continue for the next several years. I am a very optimistic and goal oriented person. So I see this as another challenge. I live a moderate lifestyle, but there are no markers for the disease. My wife and I have been married for 44 years and we are very close; naturally I want to be around for her as long as possible. The reality is as you age these things happen with a frequency that can be somewhat random, no matter what you do. So it seems pointless to second guess an outcome, but you are never the same. That is not necessarily a bad thing, just different.
Hope this is helpful to you and others.

Igy, thanks for the knowledge. Please tell us more about yourself.
feels like we're playing chicken with the algos, doesn't it? Like the game will stop at some point but the rally is so powerful it's hard to step away.
But everyone knows when the music stops it will be an ugly day.
Meanwhile, markets are barely higher now than they were in 2017. Have to wonder if the bull is exhausted and now we just meander for a few years. I'm thinking about finally buying some long term bonds...just get some income rolling in vs a dog-paddling stock market. Or short term high yield.
