The Wall Street Journal's "Olympics" page today (page A9 in the NYC area edition) has a big story on the Nike Farm Team, with much on Frank Gagliano, but also featuring Nicole Teter, Jonathan Riley, and Chris Estwanik.
There is also a feature on the page about 42-yr-old racewalker Teresa Vaill.
And not mentiond in the story, a big photo of an exultant Deena Kastor.
Very sizeable and favorable coverage considering that USA distance runners have, uh, a less impressive medal collection than USA swimmers.
So quit griping about "they" gotta market running better...mainstream PR is a big part of the battle, and the WSJ wouldn't know to seek out the Nike FT, someone had to direct them there.
