As an 8/15 man i am keen to get on the weights, but purley to build strength and not too much bulk/ power.
In discussion with a weights trainer, i have adopted the following regime. I would be interested to find out what other people thought:
Machines: Calfs, leg sledge, adductor, abductor, seated leg raise, seated hamstring curl, hamstring curl.
4x20lifts on each machine 1min rec between sets. ie 20 leg sledge presses 1min 20more 1min 20more 1min 20more move onto next machine.
I make sure the weight is heavy enough so my 20th one is almost failure.
I do this 2x per week and all over core stability including light free weight squats, 1/2hour session 4times/week.
I am a believer in short recovery/high reps ie 20 as opposed to 10 and also hurting yourself, ie almost failing at target rep lift. Built up to this after around 8weeks, plan to continue with this to see what happens.
What do you people out there think? (Go KELLY!)
