There are only two guys, Kenyans, who appear to be in a different league this year from Lincoln. Does he have a chance for a bronze? I think he does.

there is a shot at a medal, just a good of a chance as M. East has at medaling. The keyans are the definate favorite, but you still have three spainards, a couple frechmen, and the exports kenynas, the quatarians. If Danny boy can come up with a PB under 8:10 i think there is a chance... it would be awesome, but dont bet the farm on it. i would be pleased with a respectable 5-7th (even that may be a tall order)
No, sorry. Deena was great, but she was in the ballpark already. Plus favorites seldom die and drop out of track races. Remember when Meb was talking about top 5 in the 10k. No Kenyans even got top 5! The Olympics are tough. Even more respect to Deena.
if they're testing for epo then lincloln can medal...if they ignore epo results from east africans like they did in the 10k in order to "protect the sport" then no linc don't got a chance vs. the juicemen.

Where does this come from. If they're willing to bust two greeks just for missing tests why would they let, say the bronze medallist eritrean off the hook. Who's on his side?
Let me apologize for the lack of question marks, and generally horrible punctuation, in that last post.
He has no chance of getting a medal. The race will most likely have a few intense surges which I think Lincoln will have much difficulty covering. Even if he hangs around until the last lap, he'll get outkicked by everyone near him.
Not hating, I just don't think he can run a medal-class uneven race.
That is a very upsetting thing to say about the Eritrean guy I was actually very happy with his outcome as I know and run with a few africans and only if you knew how hard they train would you have and understanding for who they are and how hard they work.
Take Care and Good Luck
