Whenever I do a tempo towards the end of the year they feel harder than earlier/mid season, anyone else feel this?
They feel harder yet I run faster in the races. Any reason to this?

Because you are running harder. Be curious to know if your effort is the same, even though you are running faster. For example, if your tempo runs were at 170 beats per minute (using a heart rate monitor) mid-season, and if at the end the runs were at 180 bpm. Thus it wouldn't really be the same kind of run. One would be a higher effort. If the heart rate was the same, it would just be greater fitness and the resulting speed increase is just a bit harder impact.

Aren't you running your tempos faster at the end of the season?
Was your goal for the end of the season to run tempos easier?
