Currently looking for a new pair and was curious to see what ohters like, and why. I really liked the Zoom Streak 3's, but in true Nike fashion, they changed everything that was great about the shoe when they made the 4's.

Ran Boston in the Lunaracer 3. Loved it. A little more plush than the Zoom Streak 3, but comparable weight. A bit more pricey though. Both lines last a ton of miles.
As a 195 pounder, I go with the Brooks Beast.
Saucony A5

This. GREAT SHOE.
i second the saucony a5's (i train in these as well so i have gone through 5 pairs already since early last year). i also like the piranha sp 4 (on sale at runningwarehouse). look at the new balance minimus shoes, too.
Brooks T7. ST5 for the full.
The A5 deteriorates very quickly. Almost everyone on my team gets them for workouts and almost every single pair has fallen apart so far. Didn't even last a whole year.
Brooks Green Silence. It's been discontinued, though, so had to stock up...

That's not a race flat
I like the A5. I use it from the 5k to marathon. No issues for me at 170 lbs.
New Balance 1600. 5.5 ozs., great cushion, very responsive.
If I race in it, it is a race flat for me.

After a few miles from a 195 pounder it's very flat.
