Alright, i'll try and give you guys a quick sparknotes of my running career. i'm pretty naturally talented, but had a horrible coach in HS (training wise and personality wise). still managed to get a walkon spot at a D1 university, but then senior year i got kicked off my team (my fault), got depressed, stop replying to coach and obviously never walked on to my college team
so now a year later i'm in college, still would be able to walk on (if i get back to my hs times), but i haven't ran seriously in over a year, gained 25 pounds and have made some really poor choices and have a borderline drug addiction. i'm trying to quit all this shit (been pretty successful actually), but just wondering if anyone has any personal stories of coming back after taking this much time off (it's been over a year actually)...just feel like a failure and not sure how much a coach would want a kid who is already a sophomore and won't be able to contribute much..
i was a 800/1600m for the record
