He should come to the uk
Could probably win a parkrun off that time

Hey, coach, don't diss our boy German! Remember, last year, just barely out of an injury plagued college career, he ran faster at 1500m than ALL OF YOUR GUYS (well, except "your" east-african-american [born in east african, trains in america and africa] guy Mo.). And this from a guy who probably couldn't run a particularly fast 800 and who will most assuredly be a 5k guy in the future.
Definitely don't count German out, he'll be back big this spring/summer.

...says the anonymous message board poster. the LRC message boards: where 5 miles @ 4:52 pace is lackluster/cause for concern for a young, oft-injured runner with a ton of untapped talent/potential. i love it!keep it rolling German!

Yeah that was the first thing I noticed looking at the results. Now 80% of the posters here will be pissed that a 39 year old guy and a 16 year old girl are faster than them.
yes!! im referring to you!! who else would i be pointing at!!! same over here let me know where i can find you!!!

The race winner has a MORAL OBLIGATION to stay around for the awards ceremony......a MORAL OBLIGATION.
german is just a shell of what he used to be
Seems like Jerry is making the right decision not rushing German back into racing, especially during the relatively insignificant indoor season. If he was still at OSU, he'd be running indoor races right now.

You realize Lagat is 38 and will be much faster than that, right?
Totally serious, slow turtle. You let me know the time and place you want to meet, and I'll be there. I need to get out some angst, and destroying a piddly little blowhard might just do it. So, lets hear it. I'm in Bozeman, MT.
uh, yeah, I think we realize that Lagat is a world-class runner, American record holder, Olympian, etc. But we were talking about a local runner in Portland who gets impressive results. And he is 39, too.
