As I mentioned, read through training posts on here and witness the abundance of people "running by feel" who are doing easy runs 2:30-3:00s a mile slower than 5k pace. Because you can find loads of that.
The "easy is a feeling" thing is old-school. Salazar is changing it up. Just look what he did with Farah.
There is nothing different or "new" that Alberto is saying that I'm not saying. I've walked you through this point-by-point.
If people are running 2-3 minutes slower than 5k on their easy days that's NOT a "feel", that's a choice....AND some of the best in the world are doing it. And you know what? I don't have a problem with that. I just happen to think easy days should be done at efforts similar to what Alberto recently said. And I've thought that way long before you were born, and before Alberto enrolled in high school. End of story.
