I am looking at D2 colleges in hopes of getting some sort of scholarship. I would love to stay in the Southeast area of the country but please let me know any ideas you have. My times are:
800-2:03
1000-2:44
1600-4:32
3200-9:57
5000(xc)-16:57
Where could I get a scholarship with these times and how much should I expect to get at any D2 school. Thanks in advance for the help
You should consider NAIA schools too.
what are some good NAIA schools to consider? (again preferably on the east coast or in the southeast) and thanks for the advice
What state are you in?
Tuition for out of state students usually cost a lot more than in-state residents.
If you are in Georgia you should contact Emmanuel college. And if you get a little faster in the 3200, Augusta State and Clayton State are good schools to look at.

I am in Virginia and we don't really have great d2 schools so I was looking out of state at some private colleges and different things and trying to figure out how to get a scholarship... even though private colleges are at first more expensive they have a ton of pretty easy academic scholarships you can go for to make it in state tuition... for instance Mars Hill for me with no athletic scholarship would be $14,000 a year give or take
Virginia State - $11,794 - Crappy team
Virginia Union University - $11,601 - Even crappier
University of Virginia's College at Wise - $14,224.00 - As bad or worse than VUU's team.
You were right. Virginia doesn't have many d2 colleges. And the ones they have suck. And I dont know why in state tuition is so high in Virginia.
Out of state tuition for Columbus State University in Georgia is $9,434.00.
And for instance CSU got 1st at regionals this year while Mars Hill got 4th.
So come to CSU!
Are you a runner at columbus state? do you know if I would have any chance of a scholarship there?
Yea I am. But you'd need to drop a good bit of time this coming track season in that 3200. Maybe if you ran sub 9:40. I got a lot of scholarship money when I first came in with a 9:46, but the team has got a lot better since then. And I was in-state.

Seriously? As a former college coach, your times don't even warrant athletic aid. Your times indicate NCAA division III. I am sure there are good schools in the south east that you could join. Contact the coaches about your times etc.
Why, why do you feel the need to (I presume) lie about who you are to gain some faulty shred of credibility just to tear someone else down?
You know nothing about Brokedude's training or race experience, and yet you tear him down on his times. None of the coaches that recruited me approached the recruiting process like that.

He was just being honest. There is no way he is going to get money off those times. The sooner brokedude realizes this and looks for other avenues the better for him.
You guys are wrong. I know guys that run d2 that got a good bit of money. I suppose some of you guys just don't know where to look.
Pragmatist,As a former DII coach, I can say your comments warrant no credence. I've coached lesser high school performers to national titles. Your attitude of only recruiting top high school performers is so short sighted.OP, you HS performances show the potential to improve greatly.Carefully select a coach and a program who care about you and recognize your desire and potential.Off the top of my head, the coach at Masters in CA has developed nobodies into national champs. Chico does too. Southern Indiana. Maybe some others, but do your homework. The coach who is only interested in fast high school kids is a recruiter not a coach. You need a good coach.Oh... and stay away from these message boards. A lot of ignorance and negativity.Try your best. There is no telling what you can do. Try.

Did you or these other coaches give scholarships to runners out of high school with these times?
Nobody said they can't run or get better. The original poster asked what kind of money they can get off his times. Pragmatist was correct in telling him his times don't warrant athletic aid.
