I was an NCAA coach at a D1 school with a good (not great) program at a state university (not on the OP's list) that was academically of similar rank. I would have favored a 9:15 guy with good grades before the sub 9 with poor grades, unless the sub 9:00 guy had believable reasons to expect that he'd do well in college. I did not recruit anyone who barely made the clearinghouse standards. In distance, it's not hard to find good runners with good academic performance. The combination is a good indicator of an excellent work ethic that will lead to progression in college.
A 2.3 GPA won't get you into Stanford no matter what times you run, just as a 9:30 2 mile won't get you into NBN no matter how good your grades are.
Look at the top women in the NCAA for examples of good runners with good grades.
