Hey fun., do you know what their event marks are (not just the points)? Just curious. I love the comparison with the rankings.
The best one I recall was Sheldon's 7.9 in the 60HH (HT).
So all of the times were hand-held? Hmm. I guess we'll know for sure when they post the results online. They haven't been uploaded to TFRRS system yet.
Austin Hollimon is scheduled to run at Penn State this weekend - the 600m I believe.
I wonder if Hale will finally run an open event this weekend. She's only done relay legs so far this weekend.

Yes they were hand timed, TFRRS scores will be higher because the track is flat
Courtesy of HTC (q.v.), there's a link to the entries for Penn State's Sykes/Sabock Challenge, with Penn, Princeton, and Cornell.
Princeton is entered in force, and should be carrying the Ivy colors as far as the team-title races (which include PSU, UConn, and Liberty) are concerned. Somewhat atypically (given that it's a scoring meet), Cornell is skipping several events and keeping some big guns out. (Strategically, one hopes, rather than because of injury/illness!) We should see some high-quality marks from this meet: fine facility, excellent competition.
Which, I guess, answers the question as to whether this weekend will be a "quiet" one for the League: no! A substantial rewriting of the performance lists should be in store.
BRF - according to Cornell's sports website, some of the team will be making an appearance at Ithaca College for the Ithaca Bomber Invite tomorrow. There is supposed to be live results... but no heat sheets that I can see.

Meanwhile, Harvard, Columbia, and Dartmouth have done a little bit at the Armory. Check out this page and click on the event to see results:
For maybe the first time ever, except for when they host outdoor Heps. live results for an event at Yale!

Wow, good catch, C/M! In fact the start lists are up now, and it looks like maybe a *majority*--certainly a substantial group--of the Big Red are entered at IC:
http://www.leonetiming.com/2013/Indoor/Bomber/Looks like a smart move to me, because in most (maybe not all) of those events the other teams will be able to give the CU entries solid competition--better for their development, compared to the top-heavy meet at PSU.
To answer a previous question (my own?), I'd say that anyone who's going to compete for the Big Red at indoor Heps will have competed by the end of this weekend. Evidently some folks are just not going to have an indoor season, whatever the reasons.

Thanks for the link. Not bad...six Elis under 15:00 for 5,000m, and two more close!

Whoa--even with very partial results, it's obvious that the Harvard women are tremendous contenders this year
Yeah, overall I'd say this weekend does not belong in the "quiet" category. People are getting really serious...
Indeed, Harvard had the women sprint group to watch out for this year. I hope they will perform at heps.
Austin Hollimon ran today at PSU in the 600m. Finished 7th in 1:21.26.
1 Brennan, Ryan FR Penn State 1:19.76 5 10
2 Burton, Brandon SO Virginia 1:19.85 3 8
3 Arslain, Paul SR Liberty 1:20.73 4 6
4 DeSalvo, Paul SO Connecticut 1:20.82 3 5
5 Hamlett, Tim FR Penn 1:21.05 4 4
6 Schotzinger, Tommy FR Unc-Wilmington 1:21.25 2 3
7 Hollimon, Austin SR Princeton 1:21.26 5 2
8 Rhodes, Robert FR Connecticut 1:21.41 5 1
9 Cole, William SR Buffalo 1:21.66 4
10 Whyte, Chris SR Connecticut 1:21.72 4
I don't see any previous results for him in the 600m, so I guess it is a new best for him, but he has some work to do (particularly if a Penn frosh is beating him).,

Once again, excellent work and much appreciated, fun. I hadn't even realized that all the weekend's results were posted!
My hometown Columbia Lions, still young in their season, continue to impress me. Their men may have too many holes in their event coverage to contend for team titles at Heps, but this weekend's 7:30 for a 4x8 and 9:40 DMR are no jokes. The women are making strong progress in almost every event category and should certainly be in the mix at Heps.
I also note the continuing progess of the Penn squads, including Maalik and the men's 4x4. The Quakers don't have enough top performers yet, but are showing excellent event coverage and, in three weeks' time, are likely to surprise people in several events.
9:40 should get into NC's, right?
What happens to top flight throwers when they go to Harvard? How do top level 70 foot shot putters, 200 foot hammer throwers and near 200 foot discus throwers become increasingly worse year after year? Brode threw 71feet in HS (rough equivalent of 61 with the 16#) and 198 in discus. He's now averaging about 56 feet into his junior year and never broke 60 feet. Glauser threw 60+ feet with 16#er his senior year in hs. He is now down to 53 feet and never broke 60 feet since attending Harvard. Mozia goes off to Cornell with so-so hs credentials (low 60s high 50s) and blows through 60feet his freshman year and is a consistent 60+ footer his Sophomore year and is ahead of guys like Vena in the college rankings. All kids are different of course; however, a 70 footer in hs is an exceptional and talented athlete and has mostly mastered the techniques of his craft. So, what gives at Harvard? Why can't they make their throwers better?
9:40 wont make it.
Sub 9:32 is in/bubble, sub 9:31 in but close, sub 9:30 safe
The weights for the shot put are heavier in college than they are in high school (12 lbs in HS vs 16 lbs in college)
Also, they have a new throwing coach for this indoor season, as their previous one is now the director of TF/XC at Northeastern.
But otherwise, I cannot say anything else.
Funny - Michael Franklin's 3k 8:04 is not within TFRSS and the Princeton heptathlon meet results aren't listed either.

9:40 is a fine time, especially this early. But it has nearly zero chance of making it. The last two years it has taken closer to 9:31 or 9:32. The trend in recent years has been for a flurry of DMR performances in the low-9:30s at various last chance meets, in particular Notre Dame. A performance that is top five in the NCAA at this stage of the season (four weekends of qualifying remaining) might make it in some events... but a 9:40 DMR is highly unlikely to be one of them.
