Been running for over 35 yrs, logged over 76,000 miles and have seen my Max HR drop from a high of 207 when I was in my 40's to around 185 as I close in on turning 70. I should be glad I still have a heart rate, but curious to others observations as they have aged and the effect on their Max HR.
As a result of poor parent selection, I inherited a high blood pressure gene and started on a 10 mg pill several years ago. Would this be a factor, as well as my advancing age as to the decline of my Max HR? I am 5'10 and tip the scales between 145-150(pretty steady weight over the last 30 years). Thanks for sharing your experiences.
