You shouldn't really comment if you don't realise what your talking about. It will embarrass you more if you don't actually realise what your saying.
A session with 3 minutes recovery is actually perfect for such a runner in this scenario.
A.) He is trying to run a PB, and as such the session is more appropriate to the runners periodization timeline.
B.) He has a general idea what he runs already so there is no significance in running a session 'solely' designed at predicting 5km time. What is more appropriate is a session that works the most ideal energy system for this period of the year and doing your best to extrapolate a potential time from that.
At this point in many elite MD athletes periodized year, they will routinely complete similar sessions to this. I think if your comprehension skills were a little stronger you would notice that at no point does the OP ask what the best session for predicting a 5km time is.
