When deciding on a school you should also look into how the athletes develop. Most of these big schools get hired guns and maintain the athlete, but don't improve them. I would see if the athletes have improved any since they got there. But to answerer your question, for my money I take a look at the University of New Mexico! And before all the nah sayers talk crap, this year UNM had the national champion indoors in the long jump and the national runner up in triple jump outdoors. I was curious about where the heck these UNM guys came from, because I only knew the school as a distance program, so I researched them a little. I looked at past years results and I saw they have had really good jumpers on the women's side too. They had an All-American on the women's side in the Triple Jump and another girl that jumped like 21 feet in the long jump. The thing that is impressive is they are not a place you'd expect great jumpers, so I doubt the nations best think of UNM as a place to go, so they must be coaching kids up. So even though everyone probably regards UNM as a distance only school, I check it out!!!
